This is a new living sculpture that has appeared on the streets of Nottingham. It is located on Canning Circus, which has recently gone through a bit of a facelift, with some new paving and road layout. I'm not sure what the artist is trying to tell us, and I wouldn't like to be the person who has to trim the topiary, as there is always the danger of cutting too much off and ruining the message.
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

A Question of Life?
This is a new living sculpture that has appeared on the streets of Nottingham. It is located on Canning Circus, which has recently gone through a bit of a facelift, with some new paving and road layout. I'm not sure what the artist is trying to tell us, and I wouldn't like to be the person who has to trim the topiary, as there is always the danger of cutting too much off and ruining the message.
Perhaps the answer is the question (mark?) - I like it.
ReplyDeleteThanks for comment on Monte Carlo DP and my 200th post. I looked through several months of your blog (nice photos!) trying to find the Sky Mirror in Nottingham but so far no luck and I've got 9 dogs snapping at my heels so need to stop for a bit. Could you let me know what month you posted it last year. I'd really like to see it. Thanks.
very creative
ReplyDeleteIt does look like a question mark.
ReplyDeleteAnd to answer your question I shot the photo with a Canon EOS Digital Rebel XT. I didn't have the Lumix then. I still prefer the two Canon cameras that I have and the big heavy lens but this Lumix is nice for closeups and it doesn't weigh much.

I wouldn't like to be the person trimming this piece of art either! One wrong snip and I'd probably chop off the whole top !
