A different day & a different number - 27.
I took this down by the canal & I think it shows the hight of the water. Maybe people with more knowledge of rivers could give the full story.
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.
Hi gail's man. Thanks for your questions about the Trip Blog. Interesting questions. It IS different taking photos in a place where there are a whole lot of less familiar conditions - quality of light, watching for 'new' things etc. Also less chance for stillness when you are with other people -I like doing my blog photography on my own, because then I can meander at will. But then there's also delightful aspects - sometimes, just occasionally you are in the right place at the right time to get something that a local wouldn't think twice about. Probably my favourite photo in that category is the one in Rome when I was looking out a window and saw two men speaking so expressively with their hands, surrounded by cars parked at typical Roman angles, on cobblestones. So profoundly "ordinary" to a Roman, so worth taking a snap to me.
