A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Messing about on the River
Here's another photo of the boats on the canal. This one features a place where the boats can moor and stop for a while. Perhaps the owners are taking some time out from travelling and seeing what the city has to offer. The mooring isn't far from a Sainsbury's, so they can stock up with supplies, before moving on at about 5mph.

That place looks a bit crowdy...
ReplyDeleteIt's Castle Marina, for boaters who rent moorings by the year (and sometimes rarely take them out - expensive hobby). Out on the canal, boats can moor free of charge for up to 48 hours as far as the wooden footbridge, back towards the courts, and up to 14 days beyond the footbridge.
