A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

All Bar None
I paid a visit to Bar Esquina today, which is inside the Alea casino in town.
I wasn't there to gamble, just to see a friend.
Not being a gambler, it's not a place that I go to. There is also a Marco Pierre White restaurant in the building too, which I have dined in, when I went to someone's birthday party.

Red And White, But Not Blue
St George's Day today and I popped down to the Old Market Square to see the traditional march from the Forest recreation ground.
As it tends to be the same thing every year, I struggled a bit to find something new to photograph. But thanks to Tracey, a professional photographer (weblink) friend of mine, who let me photograph these two appropriately dressed ladies who she had just taken a picture of.

And They Call It Puppy Love
I saw these two ladies at the Children in Need night at the local Tennis Centre.
They were supervising a table where some children were making a collage from pieces of tissue paper. They had certainly got into the swing of things, dressed as dalmatians in their one fleecy onesies.
They happily posed for my camera. I like the way that they have drawn tongues on their chins and black spots on their noses.
I didn't get their names. But if anyone does recognise them, then do let them get in touch with me and I'll happily send them a copy of this photo.
