Turkey Shoot

I know I promised no more Christmas pictures, but I had to show you this window scene, which can be filed under comedy.

It reminds me of the old films from the 1920's & 30's where someone who is being chased would put a shade on their head and pretend to be a lamp.

Feeling Tyred?

I couldn't resist taking this cute little Michelin Man relaxing on a lovely black leather sofa. He seems to be very comfortable sitting there and watching the world go by. I can't remember the name of the shop, but they sell all sorts of things to make your home more individual and unique.

Open For Business

A few days ago I showed you a shop that was being prepared for new tenants. Well yesterday I walked by, and it was open. Another travel agents. It joins the several that are on Wheelergate already, including the Flight Centre, Trailfinders and the Co-op.

Heads or Tails?

This display is at clothing store Limeys. I wasn't really drawn to the clothes, as they don't look anything special. What interested me was the photographic heads of the manikins. The middle one is especially clever, as he can rotate his 180 degrees!

As an historical aside, this store on Wheelergate used to be a Waterstones book shop, and before that it was a well known stationers & book shop called Sisson & Parkers, which had been on the site for years.

Blow Up

My local Virgin record store has a sale on at the moment. And to publicise this, they've covered the entrance in balloons. The assistants have also filled one of the windows too.
I wonder whay they've used blue balloons, when Virgin's colour is clearly red?

Rabbit On

This display is in the window of Paul Smith's first shop on Byard Lane. It's a small shop and so the display area is small. For some reason the things the store puts on display don't appear to have any relation to the clothes etc that the shop sells.

Flushed With Success

Not every loo seat has to be boring white plastic, or imitation pine. From this bathroom shop, you can buy all sorts of highly decorated seats. I especially like the fish one. Very amusing.

Apologies for the poor quality of the photo. As I'm sure you've all found out, reflections in shop windows are a nightmare sometimes.
