Armed And Dangerous

Don't worry, there wasn't a terrorist attack in the city centre today, it was just the Army on a recruitment exercise. Although not many people seemed to be stopping to enlist.

Either that, or the soldiers are planning a raid on the chocolate shop, to get some luxury Valentine goodies for their wives and girlfriends.

Secret Mission

It was Armed Forces Day yesterday, and Wollaton Park served as the place to see armoured cars, soldiers and obviously the work of the Armed Forces.

Sadly it wasn't as big as last year's, as Nottingham then played host to the national celebrations, which took place at the Embankment. This year Stirling hosted the national event.

I took a photo of this armoured Land Rover as it was being driven away, but didn't notice that the driver had hidden his face as he drove past. He was either camera shy, or a member of the SAS.

Barking Up The Right Tree.

Well I'm back. I don't know why, but somehow I haven't blogged for the past few days. Not sure how that happened. So I have a fair bit of catching up to do, and plenty of photos to show you of the various places/events that Gail & I have been to. So keep popping back to see the missing days.

Anyway, today is World Photography Day, and I was hoping that I would be able to take an amazing photo in celebration of my favourite hobby. But alas, Nottingham city centre was quite quiet today. Probably because it was a Monday, and lots of people are on holiday.

But I did come across this enormous dog, who was part of a sales team publicising a company that provides some new worming alert system, so you get a phone or text message telling you when your pooch needs his worming tablet.

Message For The Masses

This Land Rover carries the message that everyone should follow, although not everyone does, due to their own particular circumstances. We should all make the best of whatever hand we've been dealt, and to make the most of any opportunities that come our way.
