Heart Of Glass
I wonder how long it to to stick all those little bits of glass on this figure of a woman?
She presently sits in the window of a hairdressers on Castle Boulevard.
I wonder how many extra customers she's helped the shop to get?

Uncovering The Past
Some workmen over the past few days have sadly been cutting down a number of mature trees along part of the Castle Boulevard stretch of the canal.
I have no idea why they have done this, as the tress weren't dead, just maybe a little overgrown.
So down they came, and once all the wood had been cleared away, this small brick built building appeared.
It would be interesting to know what it was used for. Maybe something to do with the waterway. Who knows?

Blast From The Past
For those of you who are of a certain age, or have a passing interest in modern antiques, will recognise the style of painting of the girl, as most homes in the UK had a variation of it during the late 60s and early 70s.
"The Green Lady" was sold as cheap art from many high street stores like Boots, and featured an non smiling Asian girl who had a slightly greenish tinge to her skin for some reason. If I remember rightly, she wasn't even particularly pretty either.
This blown up version features as part of a window display in a large furniture store on Castle Boulevard.
