After a very hectic week last week, I've been a bit stuck for photographic ideas this week. The weather hasn't helped either.
This ride called the North Pole appeared last year in the Old Market Square, and I put a couple of shots of it on here, which was taken with my old Nikon D90. This one was taken with my Olympus OMD and used one of the fancy art filters.
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

The Big Wheel
Back to work yesterday after our trip to Dubai, and I was keen to see if anything had changed in the city centre. Imagine my surprise when I came across this fairground ride being constructed in the Old Market Square. A long time ago, the annual Goose Fair used to be staged in the square before it was moved, but I don't think they had any rides as tall as this one.

All The Fun Of The Fair
Yesterday I went to the Riverside Festival, that takes place every year at the side of the River Trent. I put a few photos of this event on the site last year, and so this year will be no different. Today's shot is of a fairground ride. I'm not sure if I'd like to be whizzed around in a circle, whilst just being strapped into a little chair.
