Under The Ivy

I don't think this house is empty, but has been seriously neglected, judging by the amount of ivy growing over the attic window.

The rest of the house didn't appear to be in very good condition either. The pile of rubbish, including an old car number plate at the side didn't help.

I saw it on the way to the Attenborough Nature Reserve. So it was something a bit different to photograph, other than swans and ducks.

Sleeping Beauty

Since rearranging the furniture a bit in the living room, Oscar has found himself a new spot to relax and watch the world go by.

He has really taken sitting on the top of the sofa and looking out of the window. And when he's had enough, he just lays down and has a good forty winks. And yes, I've even heard him storing!

Here's Looking At You Kid

Here's Marmalade looking out on the world from the safety of our garage.

The window is quite grimy, but I think it makes the photo more interesting, as it gives it a soft, cinematic look, rather than the bright and shiny Tecnicolor shots that we are more used to today.

Marmalade quite likes to have a snoop around in the garage. He's not really a mouser cat, but can often pick up their scent of where they have been.

Heart Of Glass

I wonder how long it to to stick all those little bits of glass on this figure of a woman?

She presently sits in the window of a hairdressers on Castle Boulevard.

I wonder how many extra customers she's helped the shop to get?

"E's" Are Good

Spotted this little fellow in a gift shop window in Beeston. All dressed for Christmas in his scarf and hat.

He actually dances; well wiggles from side to side, like he's doing a belly dance. So cute to watch.

That's Not The Sort Of Mouse I Was Thinking Of!

I was amused to see this cat with a computer mouse in its mouth as part of a window display for a city centre fashion shop, on the fashionable Bridalsmithgate.

I think it is quite creative, although I am not too sure what it has to do with women's clothing though. At least its eye-catching, so maybe that is the point. Stop to look at the cat, and then realise what the shop is. Sex might sell, but obviously so does eccentric window displays

Life Flashing By

You may have noticed that my blogging has been a little haphazard lately and have missed the odd day here and there. I certainly seemed to have lost the discipline needed to do a daily blog at the moment.

It's just that we seem to be doing so much recently, that I haven't had either the time or the inclination to sort out the images that I have taken.  Or do anything with them. I know that I should and need to.

Today for instance I had to go to Bristol for the day for work. A very long day too.  I didn't get the opportunity of taking any pictures, except any, like this one out of the train window.

Comic Cuts

A builder obviously has a sense of humour and some artistic flair, when he whitewashed the window of this building that is being done up.

He clearly was a fan of the Beano or Dandy comics when he was younger, as the main character he has drawn looks very similar to one of the Bash Street Kids.
