A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Here In My Car
A Maserati. I wish.
This and several other luxury cars were in the Old Market Square today, and were they attracting quite a crowd.
Besides the Maserati, there was a couple of Ferraris, a Bentley an Aston Martin and a McClaren.
As there were so many people wandering around looking and photographing the cars, I found it neigh impossible to take a decent shot of them, so instead I concentrated on the details, and dashboards, like this one.

Interested
This young lad looks very interested in this Subaru sports car that was on display during the car show at Wollaton Park on Sunday.
I bet he can't wait until his seventeenth birthday, so he can start driving lessons and pretend that he is behind the wheel of a car like this.

Lushhh...
This is Helen, one of the models that we shot at Donington Park the other week.
She's sitting in a Porsche. I like the reflection of the two guys, one of whom is the owner looking on.
I just thought I would post this, as sadly, I didn't take any shots today.

Horse Power
Besides going to the British Museum yesterday, I also had a stroll along some of the nearby streets. Just to see what and who I could find.
Alas I didn't bump into anyone famous, but I did come across the rather splendid Lamborghini. There was of course several envious glances and a lot of interest in it from the passers by, so it took me a little while to get the shot I wanted.
Hope you like it.

Who Two
Another very dull, cold and generally horrible day. In fact we've had a sprinkling of snow. Hardly the beginnings of spring.
So I have been wondering what to put on today. Another photo from Portmeirion maybe, or one of my glamour models perhaps?
Well here's a model of a different kind. A model of a Porsche Boxster, that I thought would make some ideal new wheels for Matt Smith's incarnation of the Doctor, as I think he would look a bit out of place driving Bessie; the Doctor's souped up veteran car.
He definitely needs something a little more sporty these days as he chases the baddies around the country. Although I'm not sure whether the sports car could outrun a flying Dalek though.

A Flash Of Red

Nothing new to show you today, as not really very much happened. I managed not to get wet cycling to and from work. But the rain is certainly making up for it now. As it is pelting down now. The noise on the roof is almost deafening.
So here is a shot from Woodhall Spa. it is of a Porsche from the 1960s. Whilst we were looking around the grounds of the Petwood Hotel, we saw all these Porsche's lined up in the car park. Apparently they had been a road race of some kind, and they were using the car park as the finishing line.
I was lucky to snap this car when I did, as moments later, another, more modern porsche pulled up alongside and it would have ruined my shot.
