Abstract Sky

So here's an unusual little shot that I took near my house.

The moon and a vapour trail coloured orange by the sunset.

As we are on the flight path to East Midlands Airport, we get planes going over all the time, so the pilot flew over in just the right place, to catch the last rays of the evening's sun.

Walking through the Lace Market this evening I saw these three vapour trails across the sky, which look quite close together and heading the same way.

I wonder what sort of planes made them? I saw an AWACs plane flying overhead yesterday, as I was cycling home, so I wonder if there is some sort of military training going on at the moment?

Sunset Silhouette

A rooftop sunset on offer today. A shot from last week, as there wasn't much sun about today.

The nights are also rapidly drawing in now, and the clocks go back by an hour later this month and it will be dark at about 4pm. I can't say that I'm looking forward to it. I think that I must suffer from Seasonal Affected Disorder.

I think that if I had the money, I would spend half the year in England and the other half in sunnier climbs. I know that Gail would like that too.

But for now we both have to stay in Nottingham and face the cold, dark days together.
