With petrol at around £1 a gallon. Yes, that's right, a quid a gallon, people can afford to run a Chelsea Tractor or two. And Dubai is full of them. It seems like every other vehicle is either a Landcruiser, Rav 4 or Patrol. Hummers seem popular as well. Here's one I took outside the Burjuman Centre that belongs to a local radio station.

Well, what can I say? I will say that I was happy to hear about the project that Abu Dhabi is investing in, Masdar, in that some good technological improvements may come from it. Also, the idea of leaving cars outside the city walls and so on is one I'm pleased that that Emirate is promoting.
