Jingle Bells
Walking through the city centre yesterday, I was amazed to see that the council had put up the first of its Christmas decorations, even though we haven't put the clocks back or celebrated Halloween. Although it is a very nice decoration, and an improvement of previous years'ones, I do think it is much too early. There won't be a tree in the Square for the second year, as the building works are behind schedule.

Yes the lights have been up in Hyde for at least a week or more.
ReplyDeleteI agree it is far too early.
Already??!! Too early is correct. It's a busy little affair, is't it? I frequently marvel at the ingenuity of humans!! Good capture.
ReplyDeleteroughly 60 days to go. I must say... that is absolutely RIDICULOUS!!! And if you ask any religious nut, you'll soon find many more upset people as "Christmas" does not actully officially/religiously start until the 1st December!
ReplyDeletePS Can you pull that big red box down and post it to me?!
TOOOOO EARLY FOR GOD'S SAKE !!!
ReplyDeleteBut great photo!
