A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

You Can Bank On It
We all know that change is happening at a very rapid rate these days. Not just with technology and lifestyles, but also with little things that we often miss, and then one day we'll say "where's that gone?".
Today's photo is such an example. On October 12, I posted a shot of a city centre pub sign with a pigeon on it. A couple of weeks ago they started refurbishing the pub, even though it wasn't that old. And now, not only has the pub had a new lick of paint, but also a new name! They chose the title after the building, which was originally a branch of the Nat West.

There's a lot of renaming of pubs going on here too.
ReplyDeleteWell, the owners know some very funky-fresh graphic designers. Nice pub sign.
ReplyDeleteBut! Gail's Man! Where....is...the pigeon now? LOL! ;) Love that graphic...it's right up my arsty-fartsy nature alley! Ame in Santa Clara! =)
