Please Sir, Can I Have Some More?

What might you be asking is the link between Oliver Twist and today's theme day of breakfast? Well the answer is Kellogg's Crunchy Nut cereal. I love them so much, that I had to eat them before I took the photo. So alas all I can show is an empty bowl!

A number of other sites are participating in this series, but I was too late in getting the code, so please use one of the other sites.

  1. To put the links you could just copy and paste the "ready link", no need the code.

Or if you want the code, give me you e-mail, I'll send it to you.

  4. I'd be concerned that Crunchy Nut is going to take over as the official cereal of GB! Just came back from Scotland and EVERY hotel/b&b had it out for breakfast. What do you think they put in it?

  5. You left nothing for us?!

Maybe we should get you to take it again tomorrow, before you eat it :-)

  7. Hahaha, that's a surprising photo of an empty bowl, which was full of breakfast minutes ago.

Kellogs Cornflakes are a big time hit here in Mumbai too. Very popular among kids, and grown ups too. Makes for a quick to fix breakfast.
Nice and funny photo and story.
    Happy Theme Day!

Interesting photo. Your narrative explains it.

However, the empty bowl also tells a story about what is available to some people and children to eat.

I cannot even imagine having to raise my five children in poverty or being that poor. We were extremely poor when I was growing up during World War II, but we had chickens and their eggs and we raised a vegetable garden.

So when I saw your empty bowl it brought back a flood of memories. Not all of them nice but most were.

  12. I will have to check out the Crunchy Nut cereal at the store. I am not a big cereal eater, but when I do eat it, I like the Oatmeal Crisp with almonds.

  14. This is an interesting twist. I toyed with the idea of an empty bowl and words about poverty- but, wasn't sure...

  15. Your text, and Abraham's comment brought another dimension to the theme day. A good reminder of the millions of people who can't even get breakfast.
