November Theme Day - Mr Blue Sky
The title of a smash hit for the 1970's rock band ELO, introduces today's theme of the colour blue. I'm afraid I haven't been very creative this month, but as the sky recently has been very bright, with no clouds (unusual for England), I thought I'd show you this rare occurrence, as I know a lot of you always see clear blue skies every day.
Yes this is genuine sky & not a piece of coloured card!
Once again I couldn't find the list of all the other countries that are participating & due to time differences, some countries may not appear yet.

on dirait une peinture d'yves klein.
ReplyDeleteIt looks like a painting yves klein.
LOL! And there was i NOT posting sky but blue boxes cos the blue sky is just too commonplace ;-)
ReplyDeleteMy skies can look like this every day (except when a tropical storm is off the coast!), and I know yours do not. So--nice catch!
ReplyDeletelol :) Good one!
ReplyDeleteNary a cloud in the sky.
Like Sally, I laughed. Well why not give us blue sky when we all tried not to?! Although I did too, with a little added. And yes, I remember ELO. Great!
ReplyDeleteLess is more! Funniest today!
ReplyDeleteHey, blue skies are ok :) Fancy taking a look at mine?

Reminds me of a line in a song that goes something like "blue sky smiling at me, nothing but blue sky do I see..". Bet this is a welcome sight to areas where gray skys and drizzle are the norm.
ReplyDeleteWendy, I will be singing this the rest of the evening....too cute.
ReplyDeleteThat reminds me of a painting we have at the Met here. Blue on canvas. Very soothing and meditative. I was talking with one of the curator the other day asking him what was the interest of the painting. And here's what it told me: whenever I am stressed out, I come in front of this painting and stare at it. It calms me down: there is absolutely nothing to disturb me in it. It's like a yoga session. I must say I look at it with different eyes now. You can see it here.
ReplyDeleteGreetings from New York City,
Eliane
YES! Someone have to do this!
ReplyDelete"Sun is shining in the sky, there ain't a cloud in sight, it stopped raining, everybody's in the play and don't you know, it's a beautiful new day, ayayay..."
ReplyDeleteOh, thanks alot. I just started to forget Queen's "bicycle" from another post, and now this. And that was all from memory. This is definitely going to stay with me all day.
