Highfields is quite famous for its large collection of rhodendrums. They have been there many years and so are hugh bushes. Here's a flower from one of the plants.
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Beautiful flower - charming.
ReplyDeleteNice photo! The flowers are absolutely marvelous!
ReplyDeleteLovely. We don't have rhododendruns here, but they are up in the mountains to the north.
ReplyDeleteRhodendrums are beautiful plants. I think I have bought dozens of them and planted them and enjoyed their beautiful blossoms one year or sometimes two and then the whole thing dies. I suspect it is because we have extremely cold winters here.
ReplyDeleteI like your photo of this plant and it reminds me of the bad luck I have had trying to grow it.
Your photo is very nice ... It may be silly of me however I was very impressed by today's photo of cheery blossoms by Irina in Moscow. I guess Moscow as too cold for flowers.
