Red On The Road
I mentioned a Daimler Dart yesterday in my post. So for those that were wondering what one looked like, well here's 3 red ones all in a row at Eltham's crematorium. They are a lovely car & only 1200 were made. Quite a lot still survive, as the body is made from fibre glass, rather then metal. Gail & I would love to own one, but they are very expensive to buy. That's if you can find one for sale.

After reading your post and looking at the photograph and your not being able to buy one of these Darts, you need to switch jobs and work at Eltham's crematorium where these are parked. Apparently the people who work there make enough money to buy at least three. LOL
ReplyDeleteLooks like a fun car!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great looking car, all 3 of them! And in my favorite color too...
ReplyDeleteThis is a hot car! Love it!
ReplyDeleteAfter yesterday's post it is nice to see the car aswell. Haven't seen one of these for years.Still a gorgeous car, and another fitting tribute.
ReplyDeleteLovely autos. Remind me a bit of a cross between a TR-3, Alpha, and Sunbeam Tiger. My favorite color as well, so these receive a few extra points -:)
ReplyDeleteNow thats what I call a proper car! Great photo.
ReplyDeleteActually, over 2600 of these cars were made. Nice to see so many positive comments about the car, it's not to everyone's taste!
ReplyDeleteJames (yep, I have one...)
