Lion In My Bed All Day
Here's another example of Shrewsbury buildings. The Lion Hotel is one of the oldest hotels in the town. Whilst looking around the area, I realised that the lion motif seemed to be quite prevalent, and I have several examples that I could show you. I may need to start a Shrewsbury CDP site, as this one is supposed to be for Nottingham.

The building looks more classic with b&w picture. I can see that is a beautiful classic architecture. Excellent shot.
ReplyDeleteLovely and quaint!
ReplyDeleteJust dropped by to say thank you again for the statue information. I shall track it down.
ReplyDeleteI used to know Mansfield well, in the days when Syd Booth's record store stocked a copy of every known current release.... memories, memories...
the lion hotel looks very nice and well maintained! must be expensive to stay...
ReplyDeletepretty nifty
ReplyDeleteyou can't tell what time period this picture's taken, except for the cars.
When viewed large, it looks quite amazing. I love how grainy parts of the photo are!
ah so here we are - with 133 photos that'll keep Shrewsbury going for a few months.
ReplyDeleteIt looks slightly similar to the Maid's Head Hotel here in Norwich. I suppose they would be if they were constructed around the same time.
ReplyDeleteThanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comments. Have a great week ahead!
