A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Steam Power
Besides the gardens and grounds, Wollaton Park has a small, but informative industrial museum. Amongst the many exhibits is a very big steam powered beam engine. Once a month and on special occasions, the boiler is lit and people can see it in action as in todays photo. It's noisy and hot, but is a great spectacle.

I really like industrial history stuff (heaven was a visit to Ironbridge once!) Beautiful smooth feel to your photo.
