This statue is of Major Jonathan White, and stands in the grounds of Nottingham Castle. At this moment in time, I know nothing at all about him. It's a shameful thing to admit I know. But does everyone know the history of all the statues in their town?
We don't have any statues in Villigen, but I have been trying to figure out the history of the many fountains we have. Trying, but not succeeding.
ReplyDeleteDepending on your point of view, we don't have a single statue of anybody in our town. We don't really have any displays of interest and none of art. I have no idea who your statue represents but it is a good-looking statue.
