Here's a shot of one of the many streets in Rye that are cobbled. They make a nice change from the usual black Tarmac, although they can be a bit rough to walk on. Rye is quite hilly in places, and is full of these little lanes.

I prefer the picturesque cobbled lane over plain concrete any day.
