Food To Go
Our local market has just held an event to promote buying locally grown & produced food, rather than getting it from supermarkets where its imported from all over the world. This chef was giving a demonstration of how to cook a dish called kedgeree; which is basically boiled fish & rice. It didn't take very long to prepare. He and his assistant then dished up the food into little pots for people to try. It was very tasty. So good, I just had to have seconds!

ReplyDeletewoooow! what a fantastic event! i love food :^)
ReplyDeleteHow much fun- sounds like great event! And I love the glimpse of the goodies on the table!
ReplyDeleteGood idea to promote locally grown produce. It always strikes me as nuts that we eat apples from the other side of the world - or whatever...
ReplyDeleteLove kedgeree. I seem to remember it's made of smoked haddock - now that brings back my childhood. Smoked haddock with a poached egg on top. Hated it as a kid. Love it now.
I love "try before you buy"! No wonder you had seconds :)
