A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

On The Waterfront
Here is another shot of the new canalside apartments being built in town. I know nothing about how many, or what they will look like. Not sure whether I'd like to live in a flat though, no matter how posh, as I'd miss my garden and pond.
This is an early entry to Sky Watch Friday and follows on from last week's posting of the cranes in the sky.

It looks "industrial" and the Waterfront is appropriate. Nice shot.

Perfect catch for Skywatch! Mine's up too hope you can drop by.... Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Gail's man. These canal and river side flats are springing up all over the place now, aren't they.BTW, do you know a place called Woodthorpe? I've got a pen pal who lives there.
ReplyDeleteDepends whos living above you, beside you, under you eh??.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot Gaisman, stil like the white cranes better than yellow.
Beautiful shot. And impressive cloudscape.
ReplyDeleteNice industrial look against the beautiful blue sky. Happy Skywatch, Gail's man.
ReplyDeleteNice follow up. There is so much of this kind of development in towns and cities that everywhere will look the same soon!
ReplyDeleteNo flat could be worth losing a pond and garden! Really well-done photo.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo of the clouds in the sky overlooking the building of this new project! Well done!!!
ReplyDeleteI like the clouds and canal, but I'm with you about living in flats.
ReplyDeleteI've got 500 acres of insulation around me.
Bet they'll be expensive too. I'm beginning to think I wouldn't mind a nice new flat rather than my old, falling apart little house, especially if it was in the city. Unfortunately I doubt I would get enough for the house to buy one.
ReplyDeleteThis is a neat looking Sky Line.. and the picture is perfect for Sky Watch..
ReplyDeleteTo me living in crowded place would be so different then what I live now.
ReplyDeleteBut I bet once there done they have a some beauty to them.
It looks like a partly cloudy day or should I use the term partly sunny day.
My blogs is open and if you get a little free time stop on in.
The coffee is always on.
'Till be interesting to see this building project, as it progresses. And when it's done.

Nice shot. It would be interesting to see what they look like when they are finished. I too would miss my garden. I don't have a pond, wish I did but maybe one day :)
