Crane One's Neck

There is still a small population of cranes dotted around the city centre. They are helping to build apartments that on one wants, as there are too many already and offices that no one will be working in as companies are downsizing, due to the recession that is present the UK now.

If I was an artistic person, and one that liked to use imagery, I could say that the storm clouds brewing overhead are representative of the dark financial troubles that are hitting everyone's wallet.

The first thing that entered my mind when I saw this on the portal was left-over crosses. That was the thought that brought me here. I would never have come to see three cranes.

I think that is really odd and also funny. What it does take to make people see a thumbnail on the portal and then click it to see what it is.

  2. Industrial behemoths under a brooding sky. The combination really got my attention, good shot.

  4. Quite a few of those around here too although they don't seem to be quite so speculative as you suggest here.

  7. If you used your description with the image it would hang in gallery and be greedily snapped up. It's just wrong to keep building these new overpriced flats when there are perfcetly good brownfield negelcted industtry istes that could be converted. Ooh er mrs I will dhut up now. Your arty analogy is though spot on and the image is rather dramatic.
