A Walk By Wardrobe
Cycling home from work the other night, I came across this rather surreal sight. A load of clothes; mostly womens & children's were laid out on the side of the cycle track, like they were for sale. But nobody was about & there weren't any indication of prices.
I wonder who did it and why?

i wonder too! very mysterious...perhaps they were for donation!? thanks for visiting my tokyo blog! it took me 35 hours b/c i slept at heathrow and i had to stop in milan. 1 pound is about 211 yen right now, making japan living much cheaper than the uk!!!
ReplyDeletea curious view. :) some people in the countryside near the city where I live do this to dry their laundry in the sun.
ReplyDeleteFollow the trail and see where it leads to??.haha.
ReplyDeletehad they gone skinny-dipping somewhere?
ReplyDeleteperhaps they were abducted by aliens
I like Gerald's theories! Very funny. I wonder why they were there? Was there a nearby house that they could have been thrown out of during a row?!
ReplyDeleteHow very bizarre! Maybe they wanted to give them away but couldn't be bothered to traipse all the way to the charity shop.
ReplyDeleteI think I might know. At my school when the Lost and Found bin got full, they would lay all the forgotten garments out like this in the lobby. When the classes came out of the lunchroom they would walk around the display and hopefully find their long lost jacket etc. Could your photo maybe be items left on the track perhaps? Just a guess.I still like the skinny dipping idea best!
ReplyDeleteHow strange. Perhaps, as they are laid out so carefully, they are there for people to choose any they might like. The child has grown - perhaps useful to someone else?
ReplyDeleteThere's a divorce on the way!
ReplyDeleteI have something a bit special to announce my new site tomorrow,
from South Shields Daily Photo
How odd! Wonder where the path went if you followed?
