Who Paid The Ferryman?

Another local pub gone to the wall. This one is just off one of the main roads that lead to Norwich city centre. I have no idea why it closed, but from the lack of vandalism, it couldn't have been that long ago.
I wonder what it looked like inside?

  1. Has the smoking ban been detrimental at all? Sign of the economic times. Very sad.

  2. Such a sad sight. We recently took a trip to Melbourne and saw that the oldest pub in Melbourne (The Duke of Wellington Hotel - built in 1850 and licenced in 1853) was all boarded up and closed down. I remember growing up in Manchester and it seemed as though there was a pub on every corner! Sorry for the long post. Linda

  3. It was warm and snug, have been in there many years ago.

I am afraid this is rather a sign of the times. My mate editorial photographer took photos for The Times of shut pubs in your neck of the woods not so long ago for an article the were doing.
