I think the name of this cafe is quite amusing and very apt for where it is situated.
Let me explain.
For those that don't know, jam jar is Cockney rhyming slang for car and this cafe is in the part of town where most of the scrap metal merchants are situated and where you can get the odd spare part for your broken motor. For some reason it's called Dunkirk, and has as far as I know nothing to do with the French port where the D-Day landings occurred.
Thanks for educating us on the phrase 'jam jar' You're right, it fits this cafe.
