Before the days of flashing multicoloured neon lights, businesses used to have a more refined way of publicising their trade. We've seen such examples on DP sites before. This company used black & gold mosaic tiles to promote theirs. I've looked on Google, and TN Parr was a pie making company. In 1969 it merged with Pork Farms, who are well known for making pork pies and sausage rolls.
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

See Your Name In Mosaic

Much more attractive than neon lights!
ReplyDeleteNo I haven't seen yours yet. Do you like this car ? I find it a bit too small for north America, feels kinda scary in case you get to crash against one of those big suv.
ReplyDeleteHappy Easter to you too !
I also love those faded painted signs which are still just visible on the side of many red brick houses, saying what was once sold there decades ago.
