A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

City Life
What to show and write about for this weeks' Skywatch Friday? Most bloggers I think either live in towns or cities. So what better than showing some aspect of that city or town. Unfortunately I haven't got any new shots of the Nottingham skyline, so I'm showing a bit of the London townscape instead. Greenwich actually, and an action shot of their railway station. It's on the Jubilee Line, so is serviced by both the Docklands Light Railway and the normal rail routes to the suburbs.
I'm sorry that I didn't manage to visit as many SWF bloggers last week as I would have liked. I'll try harder this week. For a full list of participants, click here.

ReplyDeleteThis is a very nice and interesting photo. I love to see all the different types of sky each week!
ReplyDeleteGreat, a place I will never get to go to. I see your anniversary is 1 day before mine. I married the love of my life 10 years ago, this past Feb 7.
ReplyDeletethis morning I took a photograph of a train in very small town in East Tennessee. I did not get what I wanted, already ditched it.
You did good.
Great shot - my friend.
ReplyDeleteCongrats too - you're beating me ha.
I have a strong fascination with shots taken of roofs and or from atop a hill/structure. This one's fantastic.
ReplyDeletea great point of view...where you atop a building? Happy skywatching! -Viennadaily
ReplyDeleteWell, I live in a village and it doesn't look ANYTHING like Greenwich, that's for sure. I like this view from high up. ;-) Happy Sky Watch!
ReplyDeleteIts so neat to see other parts of the world with fellow skywatchers. A very nice looking town you've photographed.
ReplyDeletenice picture of the city
ReplyDeleteWow! A city is the exact opposite of where I live. Nice, Gail'sman.
ReplyDeleteI love city shots and thats a good one! Great Photo!
ReplyDeleteDoes the sky ever get to be the same color as the station roof in this shot? Nicely captured!
ReplyDeleteMakes all the difference when it is clear skies.
ReplyDeleteI am living with my family 10 min. from the heart of the city but our city is small so not much to see. Nice shot though.
ReplyDeleteVery nice photo, Gail's Man. I, too, love "roof view" photos -- not always easy to capture. Well done.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your visit.
Skywatch has become a giant that I find it impossible to keep track. I thought this looked familiar and having read the text I see why. How did you manage to get a touch of blue in the sky. Very fine overview, an uncluttered Lndon view and there aren't many of those.
ReplyDeleteI stood on this very platform 13 July 2004
