George, But No Dragon

Today England celebrated it's patron saint, George. Unfortunately it wasn't a public holiday, so everyone had to turn in for work. This may explain why we never go mad for out saint, like say the Irish or Scottish do with theirs.

But things are improving slowly. Here's one who's stopped off for a drop of the golden liquid before slaying any dragons and helping damsel's in distress.

  1. I was surprised today, I saw flags out of windows and people wearing red roses - things are changing. We may get an extra day of yet!

  5. Plenty of dragons here, no many George's. No chance of celebrating it here, we'd be sent packing or birched.
