A Bicycle Made For Two, Or Three
Here is a new sight in Nottingham, a rickshaw that is peddled. This is the first time that I've seen it and the cyclist, so he could only have just started. Nottingham's roads being what they are, he might be able to whisk you to your destination quicker than a taxi.

A bit shinier than the ones in Singapore, but there the traffic respects such vehicles, not sure if that would be quite the same in Nottingham.
ReplyDeleteThe carriage looks a bit Heath-Robinsonish.
Couldn't help but notice the street warden outside the shoe-shop.
"street warden"? I wonder if that's like a security guard. The street scene interests me, too. The wedge building in the middle is also worth a photo all by itself! I rode in bicycle rickshaws in Indian years ago, but this one is far more modern in appearance. I enjoyed seeing the driver's "V" for victory.
ReplyDeleteThey have these in NYC too. But pose a traffic hazard on the street.
ReplyDeleteThe taxi & limousine union is declaring war on them.
One of these days, I'm gonna have to visit Nottingham. Interesting bike. There's one similar to that in the Philippines and New York City.

We have them in London too. I love the composition of this photo with the interesting building in the background.
