Water Music

This carved recorder player sits down by the banks of the River Severn. I couldn't see any information about who carved it or what the statue is called. Still I think he makes for a good talking point amongst the visitors to the area.

  1. The Severn?

Is it the Trent or is this Shrewsbury?

Whichever, it is a great sculpture.

Is that the same as a piccolo musical instrument?

  3. The Severn covers many towns as I know have travelled along it. Unusual
image and definitely a photogenic one.

  5. Beautiful patterns in the wood and a lovely carving. That must have been so difficult to do! Clever artist. And what a beautiful setting.
