This carved recorder player sits down by the banks of the River Severn. I couldn't see any information about who carved it or what the statue is called. Still I think he makes for a good talking point amongst the visitors to the area.
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Whichever, it is a great sculpture.
Is that the same as a piccolo musical instrument?
ReplyDeleteThe Severn covers many towns as I know have travelled along it. Unusual
ReplyDeleteimage and definitely a photogenic one.
What a magnificent statue. I wonder what is its relevance to the area.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful patterns in the wood and a lovely carving. That must have been so difficult to do! Clever artist. And what a beautiful setting.
