Comic Cuts
A picture framing shop come art gallery has these two front pages of the Dandy in their window. They have been turned into pictures, and were very big in size. Alas my photo can't show the scale, but they were about a metre tall.
I didn't really read the Dandy or the Beano when I was a child. My preference was for Whizzer and Chips.

Great. from a Dandy and Beano reader.lol.
ReplyDeleteI grew up with both the Dandy and Beano... but I also read Whizzer and Chips, I recall Sids Snake and Shiner... I also read my brothers Victor... with Blackbob the Sheepdog and Alf Tupper 'The Tough of the track, being my favorites... then in the 70s I read 'Lookin' mostly because of the stuff on the moon landings and the girl from Folly Foot Farm pictures... Dora I think she was called.. ha! I've off to google that now and check it out.. what have you started here..
ReplyDeleteThis has now become classic artwork. I think I know the gallery you mean so I might just mosy on up there and get me a giant Dandy for my living room wall...
