Urban Art
I'm not sure how much longer this example of street art is going to be around, as the area where it is located is due to be rebuilt. The wall that has been sprayed was once part of a railway bridge that went to the old station where the Victoria Centre now stands. But the last part of the bridge is now forgotten and isolated from anything, with surrounding buildings crumbling away and weeds growing everywhere.

Come to Cali, its all over the underpasses of various L.A. streets, Venice area, Santa Monica...
ReplyDeleteWould this be the section on popham street, just off canal street?
ReplyDeleteSome say its good, some say no.
ReplyDeleteNottingham City Council has declared war on street art (which it lumps together with indiscriminate tagging as 'graffiti') of both a legal (ie allowed in certain places) and illegal sort.
ReplyDeleteI think this is a shame.
See my recent post on this and take part in my poll at http://alanadale.wordpress.com/2010/02/18/1351/
Nice Graffiti. I have done a lot of spray art myself, but not into it anymore.
