I was instantly drawn to the peeling paintwork on this empty and rundown shop. There's at least five different colours here, put on by painters down the years. I wonder if each layer can be carbon dated to see how long ago it was applied?
A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

It's like and abstract work of art!
ReplyDeleteI would have sworn this was an abstract piece of art - snap, Sharon! Great find, Gail's Man.
ReplyDeleteIf each layer could talk, just imagine the stories and untold secrets it could tell.........
ReplyDelete...... like inside a tree showing us the period of life in that building.

Biggest catch of the day ... your blog to me, lots of good pictures of Nottingham ...
ReplyDeleteNottingham has changed a lot since I last saw her in 1993, GREAT CITY, miss her so much!
Well done :)
Put a wooden frame around call ut a snazzy title and the galleries would fall over themselves to show it.
ReplyDeleteIs this on Mansfield Road? Looks very much like something my girlfriend photographed the other day....
