Saint Or Sinner

I've have just come back from the Suffolk town of Bury St Edmunds. It's a very nice town, and as you'd expect full of old buildings and history. I didn't really have the time to do a full tour of the streets and surrounding area, but I still managed to take quite a number of photos. Like this one of the Abbey Gardens, with a statue of St Edmund himself, created in 1974 by Elizabeth Frink.

  1. It is such an historical place even how it got it's name is a tale. He's a bit puny isn't.

  3. Yay! It's Eddie Statue!

Did you like the houses in the background, built into the abbey ruins? If you look carefully at their walls you can see the outline of the arches which used to be the main entrance into the abbey.

  4. Bury St. Edmonds is such a beautiful place and you've captured it wonderfully.I used to visit someone who lived there quite regularly. Love the Frink sculpture too. Superb, Gail's Man!
