It's Cheese Jim, But Not As We Know It
Here's another view of the International House building. From this angle it looks like a slab of cheese, a doorstop or a skip. It's a very revolutionary design and looks ok on this new site, but would look very out of place on the main campus where the iconic Trent building is, with its clock tower and likeside view.

Wow, what a unique building. It almost looks like it is made out of Legos!
ReplyDeleteThat is something else. I'm guessing people take photos here all the time.
ReplyDeleteWow, that's interesting - where do you have to be to get that photo?
ReplyDeleteI'd like to live in a place like that :P
ReplyDeleteThis looks like a building from one of those 70's puppet shows - Thunderbirds, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, etc.
ReplyDeleteThey would usually slide open to launch a rocket or sink into the ground when under attack. Any chance this one does that?
Definitely a ramp for water ski or motorcycle jumping.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful construction...
ReplyDeleteI don't mind modern buildings but I'm not sure about this one. Its not the Big Cheese as far as I'm concerned!
ReplyDeleteI went to a Notts uni chat recently and this building was one of the things they mentioned, but the only photo they had was one of it still under construction- thanks for a much clearer photo. It's definitely, uhm, an unusual design. It certainly wouldn't like right on the University Park campus though, you're right!
