This rather cleverly designed cobbled area is straight outside the castle. Usually an ice cream van is parked there, selling cornets and 99's to visitors. But today was different. It was raining. So not many people about. The rain had cleaned the cobbles and made them glisten.

I like this brick work. I always appreciate stone and brick work as I have done some of that myself. Or taught myself. Not very good at it and not good like this picture shows but I still don't mind trying.
