A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Making A Pig's Ear Of Things
A Flickr friend of mine has recently introduced me to a nifty bit of free software called Poladroid. As the name suggests, it produces fake Polaroids. It's very easy to use, and once you've produced a picture, you can open it in other software and 'improve' the photo even further.
Go on, give it a go. You know you want to!
Here's another of my amusing signs. A local butcher that has been in Beeston years and years. Although I don't eat red meat, I'm glad he's still around and not been killed off by a supermarket.

There is a program called Windows "Live Writer" which I sometimes use. It comes or came on Windows Vista. Anyway, it offers the Polaroid look, also rounded corners, drop shadows, none, outlined and different size outlines. I really like this program a lot. Once you open it then you have to teach it or link your blog to it. And from then on it is easy. Oh, if you use it be sure to use the import theme so it can set up the page your post will be on while you are importing pictures or writing a post with a picture.
