Not the famous American film director, but the fairly famous Nottingham film director Shane Meadows. He was at one of our local HMV stores (we have 3) signing copies of his latest DVD film; Le Donk & Scor-zay-zee. I've not heard of the film before, let alone seen it, so I can't tell you anything about it.

Shane Meadows is a fantastic director, you should check out Dead Mans Shoes or This Is England - both fantastic examples of british cinema!

I'm with Quincifer on this. Meadows makes excellent films... always gritty, challenging and in your face... with the added bonus of often being set in Nottingham
