This set of statues used to be in the Market Square. But they were removed when the tram lines went down. So now they stand at the top of Chapel Bar, a small pedestrian area that houses a number of eating houses and a Holiday Inn Express.

I love these statues. Someone suggested they must all be going to work because they look a bit miserable!!

ReplyDeleteWe used to use them as a rendez-vous point because the lions were always too crowded. We called them the sh*tty people because of the damage the pigeons did to them and how seldom they were cleaned.
