A Guessing Game

According to blogging statistics, Nottingham Daily Photo presently has 574 followers. And a big Robin Hood hello to you all.

So just to prove that you are all paying attention and still visiting, please leave me a message to say what this photograph is of. Nothing too elaborate. One or two words will do.

Yes, they are cogs, but what are they from? Besides a bit of tweaking, the photo hasn't been doctored in any way, and no magnification has taken place. So what exactly do you think they are?

Answer in a day or two.

Hmm well not really sure, could it be one of the coggs of a cycle chain?

  2. It looks like a zipper, but what do I know. My daughter is attending the U of Nottingham in September (if she gets her visa on time).

  3. Looks a little bit like the rack mechanism on a lock gate - maybe Beeston lock?

However, they don't look greasy enough really

  6. Chris: I would have called them gears and they are quite worn. I guess it may be from a clock that has been around a lot of years. They are older then my countries beginning.
