Easy Rider

I popped into to the opening day of an exhibition today in Beeston which went by the rather unusual title of Carnival of Monsters. It is a two week arts festival being held at the former Barton's bus garage. There were quite a number of exhibits on show, including sculpture, painting and a little bit of photography. Something for almost everyone in fact. And nothing too outrageous.

I thought this motorbike made out of scrap metal and junk was very clever and well thought out. Gavin Darby the artist responsible has done a good job. It is the sort of artwork that would look good in a very large garden, where it can be appreciated and ages a little bit over time.

  1. It's a fabulous sculpture. we saw several pieces of his work at the Sculpture in the Sanctuary exhibition at Reg Taylors garden Centre, Southwell, in the summer. Fell in love with all of them....but sadly,we did not have enough pennies.
