A photo a day from the famous East Midlands city, its surroundings, and wherever the photographic journey takes me.

Junktastic
Besides being great for anything artistic, Rye also boasts quite a number of antique and curio shops. We went in a real Aladdin's cave this morning. Two floors absolutely brimming with all sorts of nic-nacs. Anything and everything was on shelves, in boxes, in cabinets and hanging from the ceiling. You wanted it, they probably had it somewhere. I took a number of photos of the things on sale and I thought I would share this one with you, as it's not everyday that you see a World War II gas mask hanging next to a toasting fork and a hurricane lamp.

Quite a collection. Did you purchase this lot?
ReplyDeleteJust love these shops, used to be one in our town, but alas, the ones left are not nearly as good as this.
