There's Gold In That There Sand

Here's the price list for the rides and stalls at the Nottingham Riviera. As you can work out, it's not cheap, especially if you have a couple of rugrats who will want to go on everything.

The attraction was heaving today as it was a lovely sunny day, so the owners will be raking the money in. Especially as you can't bring your own food; you have to eat and drink what's on offer. And of course these concessions are run by the owners too.

  1. At least you still have a choice unlike the rip off flat fee now for the Pleasure Beach Blackpool. Hope this does generate a healthy return for the city.

Surely you're not suggesting that the city's motivation in setting up the Nottingham Riviera as a way to support families who couldn't afford a proper holiday because of the recession, is actually a thinly veiled plan to get them to spend just as much money... but in Nottingham rather than in Skegness or Mablethorpe?

By the way G-M, I hope this was an official photograph that you bought from the official photographer and not one that you had the audacity to take yourself?

  4. What a fascinating idea. Thank goodness the sun shone.

Just to say, thanks for your comment the other day on MC and discussion on our Lumix. I had forgotten to do what you suggested - the camera automatically taking pic after pic. I just kept clicking manually. Same result I suppose as the camera was on a tripod and each shot took two seconds but I could have saved myself the bother, couldn't I? Not that it was a bother...
